Client FAQs-I Don’t Live in Washington DC. Can You Still Represent Me?

Renée J. Gentry, Esq

The answer is: Yes, we can. The NVICP is a federal compensation program, and while we are located in Washington DC you do not need to be. Our firm has represented clients living in nearly every state in the country. Further, clients are not required to appear in court until trial. Since COVID-19, the Court has even conducted trials via Zoom and other virtual platforms so clients do not even need to leave their homes.

Despite not being “local”, we stay in touch with clients regularly via email, text and telephone. There is no difference in representation if you live in Washington DC or Walla Walla.
